Join Brazos Valley Fiber Arts for our December First Friday Sit & Stitch on December 4, with special guests from the Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station. Bring a portable fiber project, pull up a chair, and spend the evening making, talking, and connecting while learning more about another organization helping strengthen the arts across our community.

For over five decades, the Visual Art Society of Bryan-College Station has served as a creative cornerstone for local artists and art lovers. Powered entirely by dedicated volunteers, VAS B-CS brings high-quality visual arts programming, exhibition opportunities, educational workshops, youth scholarships, and the Aggieland Art Trail to the Brazos Valley. Through collaborative partnerships and cultural events, they strive to make art visible, vibrant, and sustainable throughout our community.

We love opportunities like this because fiber art does not exist in a separate little corner of the creative world. It is part of a much larger local arts community, and First Friday gives us a chance to sit at the same table, learn about one another’s work, and build those connections.
